PARABENS AND HORMONS

PARABENS AND HORMONS

Why you may be questioning your obesity or cancer!

I'm so happy you've stopped by. So perhaps you have been questioning why you have been struggling with cancer for years and you just don't understand why you have it. Maybe it's the extra thirty or sixty pounds of unwanted fat that has accumulated over the past decade. Why you ask? Well, every time you open your medicine cabinet and reach for your skin care products, shaving cream and underarm deodorant, your toothpaste, you stand in your shower with shampoo lathered in your hair and on your body - you are exposed to harmful parabens! Parabens that pernitrate though your skin and enter your body.

So what are parabens? They are harmful chemicals that cosmetic manufacturers use to preserve your personal products that you use on your body each day. During the 1950's Parabens became popular as mass manufacturing grew throughout the world and the Parabens extended the shelf life of mass lots of product being created. The following are just a few of the most popular used parabens: Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylparaben and Ethylparaben. I urge you to do your own research and find them on products you are using. Go look at your health products, shampoo, lotions, toothpaste - you may be horrified to know that you are ingesting these chemicals into your body everyday! Yes, it is important to use certain preservatives to stop fungus and harmful microorganisms growing in our jars and bottles of products. However, you can buy products without this chemical nonsense. There are fantastic cosmetology manufacturers in Canada who care about working without these known carcinogens and have been clever enough to find alternatives to preserve your product shelf life. I endorse and would recommend the skincare line at SXYU.ca where each jar of eye cream, face cream, cleansers, toners and serums are natural and PARABEN FREE.

So why do you want these Parabens out of your life? In recent research I have read numerous articles on the harmful effects of Parabens in the following magazines: Journal of Exposure Science And Environmental Epidemiology; Journal of Cosmetic Science; Journal of Applied Toxicology, US National Library of Medicine as well as numerous text books on cosmetology and manufacturing of soaps and cosmetics and any other article I could get my hands on about Parabens.
Here are a few points that caught my attention:
1. In 2004, a small medical study found traces of parabens in breast cancer tissue, reigniting concern about these chemicals. January-February 2004 issue of the Journal of Applied Toxicology (It didn't prove that Parabens caused breast cancer, but it sure as hell proved that they had been ingested into the body and were hanging around in breast tissue!)
2.Researchers from another investigative study also detected parabens in breast milk, serum, urine, and seminal fluid! (OMG! So even our infants on breast milk are being pumped full of these chemicals before they take their first steps)
3. These Paraben chemicals can mimic the hormone estrogen in your body. Parabens bind the estrogen receptors in your body. (Any woman who has gone through menopause or had any issues with estrogen knows how weight gain is affected by this hormone - is this chemical additive in our beauty products contributing to weight issues in our country?)
4. Parabens are known to cause skin dermatitis, skin allergies and elevate cellular damage caused by UV exposure!

In all honesty the more I read about Parabens the more convinced I became that not enough conclusive studies have been done. I mean, we have so many health issues in this day and age and so few answers, could it be that chemical Parabens we have been pumping into our bodies since the 1950's perhaps contribute to the rise in obesity and cancer in our nation? Also there are so many areas of our life that are impacted by what our skin, a is a living organ, is exposed to. in researching Parabens, I have been left feeling even more committed to bringing quality Paraben-free products to my family, friends and loved ones. I am grateful to be one of the proud owners of SXYU.ca and honoured to bring you the safest products possible.
